GPS is too easy to steal

Paramus, New Jersey-

At $250 each, GPS units left in plain view become an easy target for crooks.  A quick tour of a local shopping area with police shows a reporter with The Paramus Post how to advertise your GPS to be stolen.  Stolen GPS devices like Garmin, TomTom and Magellan are becoming popular items on Stolen 911.  Click here to the latest stolen GPS devices. Search CraigsList for Stolen Property

Stolen 911 has created this custom search using Google’s Custom Search function.  Type in the make and model of your stolen property into this custom Google search. It checks all Craigslist Ads to see if anyone is selling something similar to your stolen stuff. This searches all Craigslist sites, not just the one in your local area.  Enter it just like if you were looking to purchase it.

Example: To find my stolen Pioneer DJM-600K Mixer,
I would enter: Pioneer DJM-600k and then Pioneer DJM600k.

Give it a try.  Crooks will attempt to sell stolen pets and stolen property in other areas to avoid being caught by the original owners.

There are many stories in the media about people finding their own stolen property for sale online.
